Album 6 – Rostam and Sohrab
Tragic fate, father-son destiny, and irreversible sorrow
Whispers of the River Oxus — Sohrab stands at the water's edge dreaming of a father he has never met and a Persia he has never seen, ambition burning brighter than the doubt he refuses to name. He does not know the shape of the man he is riding toward.
The Lion of Zabul — Iran calls, and Rostam answers as he always has — unbeaten, unbowed, the pride of Zabulistan riding out one more time. No one tells him this call is different.
Fate Draws the Bow — Two armies gather, two strangers move closer, and neither the son nor the father can see the blood they share standing in the other's shadow. Destiny tightens its string and does not explain itself.
The Duel — Steel meets steel and the ground shudders beneath two men who do not know they are fighting a mirror. Pride drives every blow neither can afford to lose.
The Dying Light — Sohrab bleeds out slowly, and in his last words, a truth arrives far too late for either of them to survive intact. Rostam understands, in the worst possible instant, exactly whose blood is on his hands.
Cries Beneath the Sky — The great champion of Iran kneels in the dirt beside his son's body, undone by nothing an enemy could ever have managed. Grief finishes what no blade could.
Eternal Dust — Sohrab is gone, and Rostam walks away not as a hero but as a father carrying a silence no victory will ever fill again. Even legends learn what it costs to survive the story.
