About Book of Kings

Book of Kings is a musical and visual tribute to Ferdowsi’s timeless masterpiece, the Shahnameh — an epic that has preserved the soul of Persian identity for over a thousand years.

This project was born not in the foothills of Tus, but in a home far from Iran — as my children were raised in an English-speaking country. I wanted them to feel connected to the stories, the values, and the wonder I grew up with. Not through dry translations, but in a way that felt alive — something they could hear, feel, and remember.

So I began transforming these tales into music and art:
not to modernize Ferdowsi, but to honor him —
to carry the flame, not reinvent the fire.

Each album reimagines a chapter of the Shahnameh: the rise and fall of kings, the tragedies of heroes, the wisdom of mythical birds, and the eternal dance between fate and choice.

My hope is that Persian speakers find a renewed pride in their heritage, and that those new to the culture discover the beauty of these ancient stories through universal language — music, emotion, and myth.

Welcome to Book of Kings.
A bridge between centuries.
A gift for my children — and perhaps for yours, too.
